His work is based on the study of biological geometries of living beings
Galería de las Misiones is pleased to announce the exhibition Hommage to Daniel Escardó. Among the best uruguayan artists of his generation and long time collaborator of the gallery the idea of the show is to pay a tribute to the artist at three years of his premature death.
Mostly known for his sculptures he also developed a fantastic body of paintings that we are pleased to present alongside the sculptures.
For the first time in the José Ignacio gallery all the exhibition spaces will be showcasing only one artist.

Uno de los artistas más importantes y singulares de su generación, especialmente conocido por sus esculturas, también dejó como legado un conjunto extraordinario de pinturas.
Su obra se basa en el estudio de las geometrías biológicas de las formas vivas concepto al que llega al integrar su formación constructivista, el análisis de la geometría del espacio, el estudio de programas de 3D y el uso de la fotografía y el video para el registro de formas geométricas en el mundo animal.
Sus investigaciones lo llevan a sintetizar todos los conocimientos mencionados anteriormente para crear una abstracción geométrica de origen biológico.
Fallece prematuramente en 2018 a los 61 años.
