Galería de las Misiones to participate in ArteBa 2025
Buenos Aires, Argentina - August 21-24, 2025, Galería de las Misiones is pleased to announce its participation in a new edition of ArteBa, one of the most important art fairs in the region. The gallery will be present at Booth 26, reaffirming its commitment to promoting and highlighting the great masters of Latin American art.
On this occasion, Galería de las Misiones will present a carefully curated selection of works by artists who have shaped the course of modern and contemporary art in Latin America. Featured artists include Joaquín Torres García, María Freire, Guillermo García Rossi, José Gurvich, Jorge Lezama, Virgilio Villalba, and José Pedro Costigliolo, along with other key figures in Latin American abstraction and avant-garde art.
A section of latin american historical pop art figures such as Ruisdael Suárez and Ernesto Cristiani will be in dialogue with the fanastic and, until recently, unknown work of Virgilio Villalba in the areas of Nouveau réalisme and Narraive figuration.
In addition, the first activity as part of the official representation of the estate of Tomás Maldonado will be held, the gallery is proud to present four works by the artist, whose career stands as a cornerstone in the development of geometric abstraction and design theory in the world.
